Instagram is the perfect platform to showcase the homes you're representing, whether your client is buying or selling. To fully maximize the potential of your reach through Instagram, you should be aware of some simple Instagram tricks and features. To uncover these useful hacks, keep reading.

1. SEE ALL THE POSTS YOU'VE LIKED

This one is pretty straightforward and you may already know about it. But perhaps you don't see the value of this feature. Seeing the posts that you've liked can provide you with some inspiration. Looking for ways to make your listings stand out? Need some pointers on how to photograph a home for maximum quality? Posts you've recently liked may have just what you need. To access the posts you've liked, visit your profile, tap settings and account, then choose Posts You've Liked.

2. ZOOM IN ON A POST

Say you're looking at a listing of a home and you want to get a closer look at its unique features. You can do that by zooming in on a post. To do this, go to the post you want to zoom in on. Then, use two fingers to pinch the screen and slowly pull them apart.

3. REARRANGE THE ORDER OF YOUR FILTERS

You probably don't want to spend lots of time on Instagram. You've got clients to meet with and houses to show. To make posting faster, you can rearrange the order of your filters by putting your most-used filters up front. Here's how:

  1. As you prepare your post, go to Filter.

  2. Tap Manage.

  3. To rearrange the order of your filters, press and hold the icon next to each filter.

  4. Check/uncheck the circles next to each filter to hide/unhide filters.

  5. Tap done to save your settings.

4. GET NOTIFICATIONS WHEN YOUR FAVORITE USERS POST NEW CONTENT

Who has time to spend on IG waiting for their favorite people and brands to post new content? Certainly not real estate agents. Get notifications so that when your favorite users do post, you won't miss them. To do this, just go to the account you want to get notifications for and select Turn on Post Notifications.

5. ADD AND MANAGE MULTIPLE ACCOUNTS

Maybe you have multiple accounts and want to easily switch between them. Did you know that you can add up to 5 accounts using the same email on Instagram? This saves you the hassle of constantly logging in and out to switch between accounts. Here's how it's done:

  1. Go to your profile.

  2. Tap Settings and then, tap Add Account.

  3. For each account you want to add, enter the username and password.

6. PIN YOUR INSTAGRAM POST TO PINTEREST

You might not be able to share your post to Pinterest right from Instagram, but there are ways around it. To do it, go to the post you want to Pin. Select Copy Share URL. Then, open the Pinterest app and go to your profile. Tap the + icon to add a new Pin. When the "Add a Board or Pin" menu appears, select Copied Link. Pinterest will automatically open the link saved to your clipboard. Choose the image you'd like to Pin and publish your post.

7. REPLY TO COMMENTS FASTER

Do your followers ask a lot of the same questions? If you're an iOS user, you can make your life easier by replying to these comments quickly. How to do it:

  1. Under your profile, tap Settings.

  2. Tap General, Keyboard, and Text Replacement.

  3. Click the + sign in the upper right corner.

  4. In the Phrase section, type your pre-determined response.

  5. In the Shortcut section, type a word or abbreviation that will represent that response.

  6. To use the specific comment, type your shortcut and your phone will automatically type out the full phrase.

8. SAVE AND ORGANIZE POSTS WHERE ONLY YOU CAN SEE THEM

If you want to store posts for inspiration where only you can see them, just tap the bookmark icon under the post you want to save. Then, you can either add the post to an existing collection or tap the + icon to create a new one.

9. REMOVE OLD POSTS ON YOUR PROFILE WITHOUT DELETING THEM

Maybe you don't want your old posts on your profile, but you don't want to delete them either. Using Instagram's archive feature, you can remove those posts from your profile without permanently deleting them.

To do this, tap … at the top of the post you want to remove and select Archive. If you want to restore archived posts on your profile, tap the Archive icon in the top right corner of your profile. For each post you want to restore, just tap Show on Profile and it'll show up in its original spot.

  1. Go to your profile.

  2. Tap Settings.

When writing descriptions about houses, it can get long and drawn out. Make your captions more readable by editing your photo and going to the caption screen. Then write the caption you want.Use the Return key to add line breaks to your caption.

As you run your real estate business, you may not have time to post when your audience is active on Instagram. You can use a social media management service like Hootsuite or CoSchedule to schedule your posts.

13. USE INDIVIDUAL PHOTOS TO MAKE A LARGER ONE

When you're showcasing a home on IG, you want to show off multiple parts of that home such as the elaborate landscaping, the fully updated kitchen, the spacious living room, and the lovely bedrooms and bathrooms. You can do that by taking advantage of Instagram's grid format. If you want to share a #triplegram, simply share three related images so that they take up an entire line. To share a grid post series, crop a single image into nine and then share them quickly, one after another.

14. UPLOAD OR CAPTURE A POST WITH MULTIPLE SCENES

Want to upload a post with multiple photos or video clips? First, start by tapping the + icon at the bottom of the screen. Then, tap SELECT MULTIPLE on the Library tab.

Once you choose the photos and videos you want to include in your Story and select the filters you want to use, tap to trim the videos or press and hold to reorder. Drag a clip to the center of the screen to delete it. Finally, publish as you normally would.

15. RECORD VIDEOS HANDS-FREE

To use this cool feature., open Instagram Stories by swiping right on your screen. Then, Choose the HANDS-FREE recording option. To start the recording, tap the record button at the bottom of the screen.

You can either let the maximum time run out or stop the recording.

16. SHARE YOUR STORY TO YOUR PROFILE

Your Instagram Story isn't just limited to 24 hours of display time. You can publish it to your profile so that anyone can see it at any time. To do this, go to your Story. At the bottom right corner of the photo or video you want to share, tap the three dots icon. Then, tap Share as Post. Finally, publish as you normally would.

17. MEASURE HOW YOUR STORY IS PERFORMING

If you want to see how your Story is doing, you can see how many people watched it by opening your Story and swiping up on the screen. This feature will show you the number of views and the names of people who have seen your Story.
